The Newcastle Disease Centennial International Seminar, themed “A Century of Learning, Protecting Tomorrow,” was held as part of the ILDEX Indonesia 2026 event series. The seminar took place from September 16–18, 2026, at ILDEX Square, ICE BSD City, Tangerang, Banten.
Commemorating 100 years of Newcastle Disease (ND) since it was first identified in 1926, the international seminar served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and experiences among stakeholders in the field of animal health. The event was initiated by the Indonesian Poultry Veterinarians Association (ADHPI) in collaboration with the Indonesian Veterinary Pharmaceutical Association (ASOHI).
On this occasion, ASOHI collaborated with PT Medion Farma Jaya, a producer of ND vaccines. Melina Jonas, M.Sc., MBA., M.Th., Animal Health Director of Medion and a member of the ASOHI Expert Council, was one of the speakers. She presented a topic titled “Characterization and Development of Newcastle Disease Conditions in Indonesia.” Her presentation discussed the dynamics of ND in Indonesia, as well as various control efforts that have been implemented.
This participation reflects Medion’s ongoing commitment to promoting collaboration and education in addressing animal health challenges, while also supporting the sustainability of national food security.
