Exploring the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry: Pharmacy Students Visited Medion
On Monday, 24 November 2025, Medion welcomed pharmacy students from 13 universities, including Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung), Padjadjaran University (Universitas Padjadjaran), Jenderal Soedirman University (Universitas Jenderal Soedirman), Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, Bandung Islamic University (Universitas Islam Bandung), Ahmad Dahlan University (Universitas Ahmad Dahlan), Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta), Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta), Islamic University of Indonesia (Universitas Islam Indonesia), Sekolah Tinggi Farmasi Indonesia, Diponegoro University (Universitas Diponegoro), Universitas Sebelas Maret, and Jember University (Universitas Jember). The initiative was designed to provide comprehensive, first-hand exposure to the veterinary pharmaceutical industry through a company profile presentation, a guided plant tour, and a Studium Generale outlining the strategic role of pharmacists in the development of animal-health products.
Participants noted that the program was highly informative and relevant, particularly because veterinary pharmacy is rarely covered in academic curricula. Each segment of the agenda received strong appreciation for offering distinct perspectives on potential career paths, workplace dynamics, and the industrial working environment.
The visit broadened students’ understanding of professional opportunities within the veterinary sector and further strengthened collaborative ties between academic institutions and industry. Medion hopes this initiative will continue to serve as a strategic platform for cultivating future-ready talent capable of contributing to evolving needs in the animal health industry.
PT Medion Farma Jaya Receives Three Awards from BBPMSOH
On Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the Animal Drug Quality Testing and Certification Center (BBPMSOH) convened the Public Service Communication Forum at Gedung Semeru, BBPPMVP Business and Tourism, Depok. The forum sought to disseminate and assess established public service standards, while providing a strategic platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful dialogue and foster collaborative synergies.
Virtual GMP Inspection by Pakistan’s Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) at PT Medion Farma Jaya
On September 4, 2025, Medion underwent another virtual Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) inspection by Pakistan’s Drug Regulatory Authority (DRAP) for its inactivated vaccine production facility. This inspection is part of the process to renew registrations for Medion’s existing products and register new ones in Pakistan, which requires passing a GMP inspection by the regulatory authorities.
Inspeksi ini melibatkan Dr. Muhammad Zubair Masood (Deputy Director BE&R) dan Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq (Deputy Director MDMC) sebagai inspektor dari DRAP, juga hadir tim distributor Medion di Pakistan dan tim AVI (Arthavena International Pte Ltd.) sebagai agen ekspor produk Medion serta tim internal Medion. Agenda dimulai dengan pemaparan company profile Medion dan produk biologik, dilanjutkan dengan tur virtual ke area produksi, mulai dari fasilitas penyiapan bahan baku dan peralatan produksi, lanjut ke proses produksi vaksin, quality control, packaging, storage hingga ke fasilitas laboratorium dan animal testing.
The inspectors were very pleased with how smoothly the inspection went and how efficiently it was completed. They found Medion’s vaccine production facilities to be well-organized, clean, and in line with international standards. They also praised the Medion team for providing clear, concise, and well-structured explanations that helped the inspection proceed without any issues. Previously, DRAP certified Medion’s active vaccine production facility in 2024. Successfully passing the inspection for the inactivated vaccine facility opens up greater opportunities for Medion to expand its vaccine exports to Pakistan, support poultry health in the region, and strengthen its presence in the global veterinary health market.
Medion Welcomes Visits from UNITAR International University and Maranatha Christian University
Pada 28 Agustus 2025, untuk pertama kalinya Medion menerima kunjungan akademik dari UNITAR International University (Malaysia) dan Universitas Kristen Maranatha. Selain mempererat kerja sama akademik dan industri antar keduanya. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program Short Course dari pihak akademisi yang bertujuan memberikan pengalaman praktis tentang dunia industri, khususnya dalam bidang bisnis dan kesehatan hewan serta menjadi pengembangan wawasan lintas negara.
The event at Medion Cimareme, Bandung, began with a company profile presentation by Alia Samsiah, S.M., HRD Assistant Manager. This was followed by an introduction to PT Sarwada Parna Ananta, one of Medion’s sister company, delivered by Marketing Manager, Apt. Haikal Arif, S.Farm. A total of 18 students and lecturers from both universities attended and actively participated in the interactive Q&A and discussion sessions.
Medion hopes this initiative will serve as a stepping stone toward a more strategic partnership with educational institutions, while also supporting the development of student competencies to better prepare them for future professional challenges.
Medion Invites Veterinary Students to Explore the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry
Medion once again organized a joint visit program for veterinary students. A total of 37 students from various universities participated, including IPB University, Airlangga University, Brawijaya University, Gadjah Mada University, Universitas Padjadjaran, and Wijaya Kusuma University Surabaya.
Acara yang berlangsung pada 19 Mei 2025 kemarin, dimulai dengan pengenalan Company Profile Medion, lalu dilanjutkan dengan pemutaran video dan plant tour Pharmaceutical Product. Setelah itu, terdapat pemaparan materi bertema “Langkah Strategis Medion terhadap Pengembangan Industri Peternakan di Indonesia” yang disampaikan oleh drh. Astuti Cipardani selaku Technical Education & Consultation Medion. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan sesi campus talk yang memberi ruang diskusi interaktif antara peserta dengan para alumni.

Other participants also expressed great enthusiasm, stating that they gained new, inspiring, and concrete insights into the role of veterinarians in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as a deeper understanding of the various career opportunities that can be pursued in the future.

Terdapat tantangan baru dalam proses penilaian PROPER kali ini. Perubahan peraturan dan persyaratan memacu perusahaan untuk memenuhinya melalui inovasi serta perbaikan berkesinambungan dalam kegiatan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup. Namun melalui komitmennya, Medion berhasil menjawab tantangan tersebut dengan melaksanaan pengelolaan lingkungan hidup sesuai peraturan dan persyaratan yang berlaku secara efektif dan efisien. Selain itu, Medion juga memenuhi ketaatan semua kriteria dalam Pengelolaan & Pemantauan Lingkungan Hidup, Pengendalian Pencemaran Air, Pengendalian Pencemaran Udara, dan Pengelolaan Limbah B3.
